Job Type Full-Time Regular Industry Quality Position ID 13908 Degree Required Bachelor Job Description Our client, a leading Tier 1 & Tier 2 manufacturing supplier is looking for a Quality Control Manager to join their team.Must be able to travel to Michigan and Southwestern Ontario as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct and coordinate Quality Control activities Manage the inspection of manufactured components and assemblies as well as purchased parts and materials Monitor suppliers processes and products to insure incoming quality Ensure all employees perform in a safe manner; Managing the product validation and certification process Reviewing all critical issues with quality, production and senior leadership teams Communicate with production to develop standard work instructions; evaluate product quality; address issues and correct defects Verify Error & Mistake Proofing (EMP) countermeasures are functioning Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure calibration Develop and monitoring internal quality metrics; communicate performance to appropriate team members Plan, prioritize, set goals and managing multiple projects in a technical business environment Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority Drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree or higher required Minimum 5 years of Quality supervisory experience in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment (Just in Time experience preferred) Experience in a unionized facility Experience with the application and management of quality control processes - such as APQP, Control Plans, Corrective actions, Root Cause analysis, Quality Documents, etc., Expert in Lean tools and the Kaizen process Knowledge of, and experience with, launch/PPAP process for new programs Demonstrated understanding of dimensional analysis and interpretation of measurement data Experience with supplier quality Ability to develop goals that mirror corporate objectives as well as a plan to obtain these goals Proficient in MS Office Suite of products Exhibiting a willingness to do things differently and consistently translating ideas into actions that deliver Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment MEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
