Full Job DescriptionThe Quality Control Manager oversees the Inbound Quality Control department to ensure all parts are inspected according to inspection standards and engineering drawings. The Quality Control Manager will lead a team to:Assess all processes and procedures for compliance with all other accreditation requirements Continuously seek continuous improvement opportunitiesIdentify training needs and action taken to ensure complianceProvide training and support to Inbound QC team membersEnsure all inbound parts are inspected in a timely manner according to drawing specificationsOptimize and implement the quality inspection new proceduresEnsure adherence to current processes and procedures as well as health and safety guidelinesConduct a failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) of designs and processes as part of risk managementWrite work instructions and other documents requiredOther duties as assigned by the Engineering ManagerCore CompetenciesAbility to handle and troubleshoot difficult and typically not complex problems.Manages large projects/ processes with limited oversightHolds oneself accountable for team performanceSelf-motivated and have a hands-on approachAble to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines; results-focusAble to adapt to changes quickly in a fast-pace work environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.Strong leadership skills.Education & Experience RequirementsBachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent2+ years in QC/ Engineering Management with direct reports preferably in the area of medical device manufacturing or instrumentationExperience in designing and implementing new processesProficient in 3D solid modeling CAD (preferably SolidWorks 2017 or above)Exposure to ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485) and manufacturing environment an assetFamiliarity with AQL standardsWorking knowledge of drafting standards and GD&TBasic understanding of electronics an assetStrong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & MS Project)Working knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T
