QA Selector - Grain Grader
located in our Winnipeg Richardson Innovation Centre. You will support Richardson's business units through continuous improvement and sustainability of Corporate Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.
Responsibilities:
Lead corporate grains & oilseeds commodity quality assurance programs to assess annual crop quality
Analyze results for data trending, verification of compliance with commercial contractual terms and providing consultative support to the business units
Develop and facilitate grains & oilseeds training modules to educate business unit personnel in the assessment of quality and food safety and food safety attributes
Establish quality assessment standards, technology & calibration system standards and food safety & defense program standards consistent with corporate and regulatory requirements
Lead and manage quality/food safety-related incident investigations for root cause and liaising with customers, business units and regulators
Coordinate and lead food safety/defense audits and with operating business units in attending to corrective actions initiatives
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the applicable industry and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Science or a related discipline
Minimum three years of experience working directly in a quality assurance and food safety role
Inspector P1 III Certificate (Canadian Grain Commission) or willingness to challenge and successfully pass the examination
Working knowledge of quality assurance, food safety and food defense systems and practices
Strong analytical, organizational and investigative skills
Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills
