Job Description
This is an exciting role with an industry leader which manufactures and supplies their product range globally. They now seek to hire a talented QA Manager with extensive HACCP management, product specifications, regulatory and GMP experience to lead their QA function. Please note this is a hands on, on site position- there is no remote capability.
Key Responsibilities will Include:
- Ensuring compliance with product specifications, labeling, and regulatory standards
- Overseeing and implementing HACCP, GMP, and other food safety and quality programs for the plant. GFSI.
- Providing oversight for the development of robust manufacturing control processes and related reports use throughout the plant.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the Quality Plant strategy.
- Managing customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking.
- Performing gap analysis on all Food Safety and Quality processes and procedures.
- Training, mentoring, and supervising QA Supervisors.
- Managing the hold and release program.
- Establishing finished goods quality standards, monitor down-graded product and work with manufacturing to reduce them to appropriate levels.
- You will work closely with R&D and Operations and Production to maintain the highest levels of product safety and quality across the manufacturing and supply chain process.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Degree (BA) in Food Science or related required.
- Minimum 5+ years experience as a QA Manager in the food manufacturing sector.
- Expertise with CFIA, SQF and BRC quality programs.
- 5+ years experience working in a high speed food manufacturing environment.
