The Purchasing Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer.The Purchasing Manager oversees purchasing activity for all companies. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategize and negotiate with suppliers in order to acquire most cost-effective deals and reduce procurement expenses. Developing specifications and requirements for products and services for the business where applicable. Create buying strategy taking company budget and co supplies, finding suitable vendors, Meet with dept heads to understand the needs of the company. Review request for RFPs. Research suppliers and vendors that meets goals of company. Evaluate and negotiate contracts understanding price points, secure advantageous terms. Perform root-cause analysis for supplier commercial and delivery errors and make recommendations for changes to eliminate causes. Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective. Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors. Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers. Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services. Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements. Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods. Preparing procurement reports for management Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. Proven experience managing supply chain operations in manufacturing. Experience using supply chain management software and tools. In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms. Management and leadership skills. Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Possess substantial proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
