Purchasing Coordinator Job description Clark Ag Systems, a family owned business based out of Caledonia Ontario supplies a complete line of high quality equipment for poultry and egg production to farmers across Canada. The professional and skilled staff at Clark constantly strives to achieve the highest standard for sales, installation and service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our growing organization as a Purchasing Coordinator who reports to the Operations Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: Purchasing Create, edit, receive and close purchase orders based on daily requirements for all stock and non-stock inventory Process order confirmations; expedite deliveries; investigate and resolve any delays or discrepancies Accrue freight & brokerage charges as needed Create and maintain files for purchasing, supplier price lists and product specifications Logistics coordination including customs clearance & freight management Inventory Management Create, edit and deactivate all product code information in the MRP software including costing updates Maintain KIT bill of materials and costing Regularly review the obsolete and slow moving reports to clear Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing MRP data and trends Review weekly gross margin exception reports – investigate discrepancies & process required changes Work and communicate directly with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure project timelines, equipment quantities and quality is maintained Vendor Management Work closely with the General Manager to update active vendor lists, negotiated discounts, price increases and alternate sources of supply Other Oversee the Returns Material Authorization process Oversee the MSDS protocols and procedures Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and procedures Other duties as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of/experience with parts reference sources and materials such as manufacturer manuals, and the ability to effectively use such materials Familiar with MS Office applications as well as MRP application systems Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment Reliable, responsible and punctual Critical thinking and analytical skills Customer service skills Due to biosecurity reasons you cannot be considered for this position if you reside in a residence with backyard flocks, exotic birds or poultry barns.
