What you’ll do:

  • Develop/contribute to communications strategy from a public relations and media relations standpoint ensuring it aligns with Beem’s broader business objectives and values.
  • Develop and execute Beem’s PR strategy and communicate to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure Beem employees are up to date with and engaged in relevant PR initiatives or information.
  • Develop and maintain standards, guidelines and procedures for corporate and branch public relations initiatives.

Media & Public Communications

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets to facilitate timely and effective public communications.
  • Build and maintain awareness of Beem in the community by managing external public relations through press releases, corporate annual reports and earned and paid media articles.
  • Pitch news story ideas, coordinate interviews, and manage media inquiries to secure positive news and media coverage for Beem including public speaking opportunities.
  • Manage media and press releases on behalf of Beem with an aim to always promote positive reception and consistent brand recognition.
  • Lead the development and execution of the crisis communication planning, ensuring readiness of key spokespeople.
  • Convey Beem brand and values through member and employee storytelling.

PR Analytics

  • Conduct and utilize research, insights, customer data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of PR and social media activities, inform decisions, and make recommendations.
  • Partner with Communications team to execute public relations strategy and maintain an appropriate flow of planned and reactive communications.
  • Partner with Beem’s departments and branches as necessary in planning and executing PR-relevant projects and campaigns.
  • Degree in business, communications or marketing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public relations and/or corporate communications
  • Experience building and maintaining proactive PR strategy
  • Experience in a fast-changing organization; experience with PR surrounding M&A initiatives is a strong asset.
  • Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate

  • Competitive base salary; reviewed annually. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000.
