Job Description

Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Public Policy, the Public Policy Manager will track emerging trends and issues in public policy in Canada and in other jurisdictions, develop public policy briefs, and provide advice and recommendations on policies affecting race relations in Canada. The Public Policy Manager will support the Public Policy department’s work on researching and analyzing (innovative) policy solutions, specifically focused on eliminating systemic racism and discrimination and combatting hate.

The Manager will work closely with and support the Director of Public Policy, to successfully shape and deliver on the department’s business goals. The successful candidate for this role is a self starter with innovative ideas to help solve complex public policy challenges that are core to achieving the CRRF’s mission. This person will be responsible to research and review public policies in Canada and other jurisdictions; and recommend measures to be adopted at the national, provincial, and international level for combating racism through policy.

Ability to travel and attend weekend, early morning and evening meetings as required

Work location: Toronto, Ontario; hybrid work settings may return to on-site as required

Salary: $77,267-$92, 720 per annum. CRRF is a unionized workplace and the position and its salary are subject to a Collective Agreement.

CRRF offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes three weeks of vacation, two personal floating days, sick days, 4% of annual income towards RRSP plan, and life, disability, medical and dental care insurance.
