If you have anaffinity for software, great communication skills, and a passion fortechnology, then you will enjoy working with some of the best people in theindustry at Canonical.Public Cloud Project Managers provide account leadership and insight forCanonical’s key Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud accounts. This rolewill collaborate with individuals from Software Engineering through SeniorLevel Executives.As a Public Cloud Project Manager, you will manage multiple blue chipcompany projects simultaneously. Working with all stakeholders, you willshape the SoW or similar agreements with our clients, manage projectsthrough their life-cycles, ensuring the overall goals for both Canonicaland the client are met.Periodic international travel is required. Travel amount and durationwill vary based on company and program requirements.What your day will look likeEnsure programs and projects are delivered within the schedule, scope,cost, budget and resources expectationsIdentify key technical and project risks and issues and actively putmitigating actions in place Maintain strong customer focus and work with all key stakeholders toachieve successful outcomesAssist senior management with contract negotiations and development ofa project statement of work and RFI/RFP response Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers andprovide direction when neededManage the delivery schedule of critical third party deliverables forthe projectIdentify and manage cross organization engineering requests that arenot part of existing business contracts.Advocate to customers the appropriate technologies fromCanonical’s portfolioWhat we are looking for in youProven background in IT Cloud industry as a software developmentproject manager, IT program/project manager, agile software manager orscrum masterDeep understanding of Linux, Open source, and the Public Cloud spaceSoftware engineering experience Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationallyStrong negotiation and influencing skills Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM disciplineStrong communication skillsAdditional Skills That You Might Also BringPMI or equivalent certification preferred e.g., Scrum MasterFull lifecycle project management experience Delivering global projects remotelyWhat we offer youWe consider geographical location, experience, and performancein shaping compensation worldwide.
