Citaapi Mahtii Housing Society has a 35-unit family housing project under construction in Port Alberni.
The building includes 4, 3, 2, 1 bedroom and studio units with outdoor and indoor amenity areas. The project includes a cultural centre and an office for community interaction and outreach. The Society will be working from a temporary location neighbouring the project site in an Information and Welcome Centre for the first year sharing and introducing the new project to interested Indigenous people in Port Alberni looking for a home, followed by working in the new facility office.
Our project will require a vibrant and energetic individual who is willing to be mentored, educated and learning the skills to manage our project, who is respectful of all nations understanding Ahousaht ways, its culture and history. The Applicant must be willing to work in a team setting with the Citaapi Mahtii Housing Society development group and the Port Alberni Community to strive for a welcoming environment for new tenants with families, seniors and single people.
