Reporting to the Manager, Property Claims. The Claim Advisor, Homeowner position is technical in nature and focused on homeowner claim handling. Accountabilities:insurance policy wording, determine policy coverages, and set reserves on all claims assigned.negotiate, and settle homeowner claims or moderate to high complexity by telephone and/ or by written correspondence.with best practices as set out in Allstate policies and procedures.to legislative and regulatory requirement and ensures files are thoroughly documented.of claims within personal authority and follow company guidelines on claims exceeding personal authority.a caseload reflective of a Claim Advisor, Homeowner and Take ownership and accountability to solve customer problems.and interact with claimants, vendors and other insurance companies in a professional manner.collaboratively with a team of Homeowner Adjusters and Claims Assistants.Qualifications: education is preferred and a minimum of 1-2 years relevant Claim Advisor experienceof CIP designation or desire to pursue is preferredinsurance experience and knowledge in automobile and property claims preferredcritical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of claimAllstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
