Project Nava
l Architect .
Duties and responsibilities
As a member of the Team, you will participate in various projects from concept and basic phase, through class design, till detailed engineering and follow up.
Your primary responsibilities:
Lead Nav-Arch discipline within the project
Develop and coordinate General Arrangement Plans
Co-ordinate Vessel layout with all Engineering Departments in order to obtain optimal, functional and sustainable product
Verify applied solutions for conformity with Class Rules, International Conventions, Flag State and Contractual requirements
Provide and verify statutory plans – Safety Plans, Fire Control Plans, Hazardous Zone Plans, Life-saving Equipment Plans, etc.
Prepare and verify layouts and arrangement drawings
Be a proactive member of the Design Team
Cooperate with Project Manager and Discipline Leads
Complete tasks in defined schedule and budget
Provide support for staff at lower experience level
Participate in teamworking groups within company
Qualifications
MSc/BSc degree related to Shipbuilding, Maritime Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture
5-10 years of relevant experience including co-ordination of engineering efforts in maritime projects
Applied knowledge of marine engineering and/or naval architecture
Understanding of ship functionality, preferably for various spectrum of Vessels
Understanding of ship design and ship building process
Working knowledge of Classification Society Rules, International Conventions and Codes, and Flag States Regulations associated with statutory safety requirements
Proficient with Auto CAD and Rhino
Good communication skills in English and Polish, both written and spoken
Polish citizen or permanent resident
