What will you do?
• Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.

Project Management:
o Work with business and finance teams to perform cost benefit analysis for solution concepts to support development of business cases that outline recommended solutions and delivery plans.
o Drive projects through the applicable approval processes with the functional business unit(s), finance and leadership teams
o Create and manage approved budgets, timelines and scope
o Manage cross-functional resources including dedicated and/or part-time team members, contractors, consultants and/or vendors
o Develop and report on KPI success measurements during post-launch for benefit realization
o Provide governance and oversight to projects led by other business partners

Continuous Improvement:
o Lead and moderate meetings and workshops to improve Reliance ‘s business and operational processes.
o Translate findings into implementable, measurable improvements.
o Understand the existing business situation and identify opportunity areas.
o Build relationships with business partners to understand their business needs and translate business needs into documented requirements and/or proposals.

Change Management:
o Build engagement of business partners to embrace change and develop and implement an effective change management strategy throughout the project lifecycle (pre to post execution)
o Convey solution concepts and associated risks and change implications to business partners to obtain their “informed buy in”.
o Engage a network of vendors, outsourcers, and peers to develop and document solutions and resulting changes to the business processes and procedures

Solution Implementation
o Provide quality assurance direction and end-user testing development and/or supervision to ensure that deliverables meet specifications. Work closely with outsourcing vendors and packaged application vendors to maintain the integrity of the business requirements.
o Manage, develop and deliver training to business partners on new solutions, work closely with business partners and outsourcing vendors to provide post implementation support and management of change requests, and development and execution of measurement plans to report on achieved business benefit.

Skills, Experience and Education Required:
• Post-secondary education in Business Management, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent work experience, with a focus on operational effectiveness and process efficiency.
• PMP designation required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with focus in business analysis, preferably in a customer service business.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience engaged in cross-functional business process improvement.
• Experience leading Purchase to Payment (P2P) solution implementations or similar initiatives
• Business experience working with Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Finance preferred
• Concrete organizational skills and ability to lead teams of strong personalities from varying disciplines.
• Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, project management disciplines, processes and artefacts, including project plans, charter and scope documents, resource plans, business case studies,
• Demonstrated experience and examples of solutions proposed and outcome of those proposals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with demonstrated expertise in interacting effectively with many levels of project stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience leading workshops, assembling and conducting formal presentations, and facilitating consensus building and problem solving.
• Experience in working with outsourced development teams, packaged software vendors and implementers.
• Can harness the expertise of business partners and project team members to generate ideas and solve issues.
• Able to work at varying levels, from high concept discussion to low level hands on detail.
• Candidate can work independently and/or in teams of varying size as required for various work assignments
• Candidate is flexible for regular short term and periodic longer-term travel to Reliance offices, branches and/or business partners across Canada and US.
• Candidate is flexible to work hours required to meet the needs of the business during project deployments.
• Six Sigma certification would be beneficial but not required.
• Travel will be required to various branches across Canada

Nice to Have(s)
• Previous SAP, FSM, CRM, Salesforce and/or MS Dynamics project experience an asset
