Job Description

Our client is a successful real estate development company located in Markham and they have an excellent opportunity for a Project manager – Land Development ResponsibilitiesTrack projects, budgets, and, where applicable, accounts receivable, and analyze other relevant metrics related to the projects to prepare regular status reports and to make sure the projects are running smoothly and efficiently.Provide regular assessment reports to determine the effectiveness of the Project Management process, and project surveillance, supported by effective project performance trending and analysis.Proactively identify project budget and schedule problems and suggest corrective actions.Lead and manage teams of designers and technical support staff with the focus of growing and developing the sector in accordance with company corporate initiatives and growth plans.Seal various Engineering drawings and reports as required.Provide business development support, including proposal preparation.Manage and help with the expansion of their Land Development services.Help with Strategic Planning processes; provide valuable insights into the land development sector and its growth perspectives.Act as an ambassador for the company in promoting their expertise and services to current and potential new clients, leveraging previous relationships with current clients as well as building new relations.Assist with the identification of resource requirements and providing input into resource planningResponsible for quality management protocols and monitoring quality reviews as part of project delivery.Participate in the training activities and provide technical training for other team members.Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Urban planning or Architecture with 3-7 years of experience in Land Development and graduated from reputable Canadian universities.Registered professional engineer (P.Eng) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).Excellent verbal and written communication and professional presentation Strong project management, analytical and technical skills.A thorough understanding of the land development approvals process in Ontario.An established network within the land development industry.Working knowledge of industry-relevant software is an asset.
