WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Project Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be accountable for the success of a project as defined within a specific contract.
  • Work with the assigned Project Leadership Team (ProLT) to plan, execute and implement the Project.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of your Project against cost, time, scope and quality parameters.
  • Act as the main conduit between the client and the Project Team.
  • Build strong relationships that go beyond the project to create and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Travel will be required to meet with the distributed Project Teams, the client, and other stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN YOUR TOOLKIT

  • Over a decade of Project Management experience across diverse project types and scales.
  • Possession of formal Project Management training, with preference given to candidates holding a PMP or PgMP certification.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications relevant to shipbuilding or related fields, or demonstrable experience in such domains.
  • Advantageous to have experience in contract management or administration.
  • Essential leadership qualities including the ability to motivate and employ critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in influencing and leading teams towards shared goals, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and delivering strong customer service.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, across varied groups, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficiency in Project Management software, including but not limited to Excel and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of shipyard operations and production environments is desirable.
