Position and Scope

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer , the Project Manager will take ownership of multiple customer projects, delivering them on time, on budget and to our customers’ satisfaction. Our ideal candidate has over 5 years of progressive experience as a Project Manager in the technology field, ideally with hardware or software companies. Great soft skills such as communication, influence, acumen, agency, and judgement are required

Responsibilities

  • Provide Project and Program Management for both internal and customer projects.
  • Work with sales department and pre-sales consultants to support the development of project estimates and Statements or Work.
  • Ensure all tasks and deliverables identified in the Statement of Work are completed to quality standards and on-schedule. including all internal and external communication and reporting.
  • Coordinate with customer resources, project team members, and others within RTN to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Work actively with project team members to anticipate, identify and manage risks and issues.
  • Review project deliverables prior to submission and ensure that they adhere to quality standards.
  • Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
  • Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule, resources and budget.
  • Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the customer.
  • Submit project deliverables to customer for approval and facilitate acceptance on or before due date.
  • Manage customer satisfaction within project, during transition period, and as needed throughout customer lifecycle.
  • Conduct post project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with customer and work closely with others within RTN to maintain and develop the relationship.
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction by establishing productive, trusted relationships with key customer personnel.
  • Represent the entire range of company solutions to the customer.
  • Assess, clarify, and validate the customer’s needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings
  • Regularly follow up with the customers regarding orders and obtain feedback on their level of satisfaction and ensure project alignment.
  • Identify improvement areas and lessons learned and coordinate the involvement of any relevant business personnel.
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of business opportunities by keeping an eye out for business best practice, trends, and principles.

  • Communication Skills – You are fluent in English and have incredible communication skills. You can effectively communicate and connect with customers. You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to understand customer needs and deliver successful outcomes.

Education and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or similar field.
  • 5+ Years experience in Project Management.
  • Formal Project Management certification, such as PMP, is considered an asset.

Travel

  • Occasional travel from time to time may be required. Candidates must have a valid passport and the ability to travel throughout Canada, US and International.
  • Valid drivers’ licence and ability to rent a car.

Location

  • Port Coquitlam, BC. Hybrid work option available
