Salary: $115,407.58 to $144,212.33 (reserved for Architects)

Classification: Excluded


Assiniboine Community College has been providing exceptional learning experiences that have been transforming lives and strengthening Manitoba through applied education and research for more than 60 years. Reporting to the Director, Capitol Projects, the Project Manager will assist in advancing capitol projects and initiatives for the college. The incumbent will work closely with the Director, Capitol projects to define organizational requirements for new and expanded College facilities; develop and manage resulting capital construction projects from the conceptual stage through planning, approval, design, construction, and occupancy to meet customer requirements.


Be Passionate and Taking Initiative with these Responsibilities:

Meets with customers and stakeholders to develop conceptual plans and scope out project details during the architectural programming stage.

Determines the need for and leads the process for the selection of resources including designers and consultants as required.

Prepares project estimates and approval packages for the Director, for submission to senior management and the Board of Governors.

Acts as the primary contact with consultants and contractors directly retained by the College.

In the absence of the Director, represent the College on strategic planning teams with the Provincial Government and with respect to existing or planned College program space.


Being able to deliver results by having:

A Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a combination of education and experience with a minimum 5 years of planning and managing increasingly complex builds.

OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

A Project Management Professional credential would be an asset.

LEED certification would be an asset
