CIMA+ are seeking a dynamic Project Manager with experience in utility projects to join our Vancouver team. In this role you will drive success in complex, high-risk projects, collaborating with top-tier professionals and stakeholders. You’ll leverage your expertise to deliver excellence in quality, safety, and efficiency. This role offers the perfect blend of challenge, innovation, and career growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring smooth implementation by monitoring benefits, resources, and status, and creating necessary documents like project plans and status reports.
  • Develop and manage project and risk management plans for complex projects up to $50 million to ensure effective management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate various activities such as quality assurance, engineering, stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, procurement, construction management, and safety to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
  • Use advanced Microsoft Office and project management tools to scope, plan, manage, and report on project tasks, meeting clients business needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to ensure timely project progress.
  • Establish and monitor standards using analytical skills and comprehensive project management knowledge to optimize resources.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of experience with a demonstrated history of successful projects in the utilities space
  • Project Management qualifications such as PMP or PRINC2 (preferred)
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Effective communication abilities in English, including analytical skills, interpersonal communication, and presentations
  • Must already have valid work authorization and be legally allowed to work in Canada

The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
