The Project Manager will be responsible for managing various ongoing projects, maintaining accurate cost records for each project regarding installation, review, and extra-to-contract costs, and serving as an effective liaison between the customer, site, drafting, and production departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple construction projects within the province of Ontario;
  • Oversee all aspects of the project to make sure it's on schedule and budget;
  • Schedule kick-off meetings with the clients to make sure both parties work well together;
  • Work with detailer/project coordinator teams to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and scope of work;
  • Negotiate changer orders and backcharges with clients;
  • Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information;
  • Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget;
  • Make sure clients are updated regularly and satisfied;
  • Conduct post-project evaluations;
  • Other administrative tasks.

General Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or equivalent;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in construction project management;
  • Ability to read and understand project specifications, drawings, and details;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills;
  • PMP Certification is an asset;
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (Autocad).
