Project Director: Mining Projects As the Project Director this role has overall responsibility for the Client’s site, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Projects. Their main responsibility is engineering, procurement, and construction, along with associated aspects such as project controls. This individual will be very involved with other aspects such as permitting, management and monitoring plans, stakeholder engagement, government relations and Manitoba Hydro engagement. Key experience and qualifications requirements are: Minimum 20 years mining industry experience, preferably with the majority on the owner side for construction. Design of gold processing plants and supporting site infrastructure (such as tailings management, water management, electrical infrastructure, maintenance facilities, etc). Experience dealing with indigenous groups in Canada, particularly managing the business opportunities process for Impact Benefit Agreements. Sophisticated understanding of construction contract terms & conditions and proven track record of effectively managing construction contractors. Experienced managing owner project management teams, supplemented by engineering consultant personnel as needed. Understands the importance of HSE and QAQC aspects, with experience implementing these requirements. Understands the importance of supply chain and project controls functions, with experience managing these groups. Excellent organizational skills. Authorized to work in Canada. Salary is depending on experience. Annual bonus target 30%. There will also be long-term incentives through RSUs and a completion bonus for this project team.
