Job Description

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer in the Oil&Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta. Full time salary and benefits position for an O&G company with a great reputation and is very busy! Responsibilities: Review client specifications; note and confirm exceptions and pass onto project team in a timely fashion (design group, fabrication shop, instrumentation & valving, controls and electrical) Ensure design information is adequately controlled and provide to the project team as required. Coordination of drawings and purchasing to ensure work gets to shop in time Coordinating the activities of engineering and design groups assigned to project team Ensuring engineering is done with accuracy and to high standards and managing projects to meet client specifications, deadlines and budget Ensuring equipment operates efficiently, is designed in accordance with the company and client specifications, will be delivered on time and within budget Coordinate and oversee various disciplines involved in project (ensure their awareness of all ongoing work). Disciplines can include: design drafting, piping, instrumentation, electrical, control systems, mechanical & process engineering, as well as production Equipment design (vessels, towers, exchangers, rotating equipment, etc) Requisition of major equipment (specification of buyout equipment, issuing of RFQ’s, quote comparison, vendor selection) Successful candidates will have: Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment Must have Gas Processing project experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills 5+ years experience in Project Engineering B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technology degree Registered and in good standing with APEGA Proficient knowledge of industry best practices Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines What's in it for you: Competitive base salary and variable pay that rewards individual, team, and company performance Comprehensive benefits and retirement savings programs that holistically support employee well-being Support and empowerment to promote work/life balance Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities within a diverse, inclusive and dynamic work environment Monday to Friday schedule, Permanent full-time role Interested?
