Perform Power systems studies such as short-circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash, cable ampacity, Power Quality and harmonics studies. Produce protective relay program according to protection philosophy and power systems studies. Travel to site for electrical network survey and commissioning activities. Protection and Metering equipment selection for Electrical Single Line Diagram. Planning, scheduling, and estimating (Engineering and Construction). Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency from design stage to completion. Assists customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Lead communication pertaining to assigned projects. Your backgroundBachelor’s degree in an Electric Power Engineering program. P. Eng. designation is required for this role. 4+ years of relevant experience, particularly in modeling and simulations of power systems, and writing reports and Power system solution consulting experience involving equipment upgrades including Knowledge of LV and MV switchgears and apparatus. Knowledge of electrical design standards (CSA, IEEE, ANSI/IEC) and provincial codes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of: Power System Analysis software (ETAP, SKM and Easypower), AutoCad Design Suite and Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
