We are looking for a motivated person who is committed to growing their professional career at Procon while gaining valuable knowledge and experience.Position Summary: The Project Engineer in Training (EIT) will provide engineering and overall contract administration support to our site management in the way of assisting with planning, scheduling, commercial management and administration, cost control, QA/QC of our work, and recommending process/mining method improvements.Responsibilities: Reporting to the Potash Project Lead, the Project Engineer in Training (EIT) provides technical support for the project. The Project Engineer or Engineer in Training is responsible and accountable for the following: Quality Control tracking to ensure compliance with the Specifications (testing frequencies, material approvals, notice of inspections, etc.)Perform a variety of cost engineering/project control functions encompassing project billings preparation, estimating and cost control.Daily reporting/tracking of projects to head office and clientMeasurement and valuation of inventory for individual projectsPreparation and analysis of job reconciliations at end of project within terms of contract.Tracking of delays, out of scope work and 3rd party vendors and materialsTracking of costs and productivities to identify trendsAssist Superintendents with personnel planning and schedulingManage and Track Subcontractors/ Material SuppliersPerform case studies and project works to improve site safety and performanceAdditional or alternative duties may be allocated by the Project Engineer, Superintendent, or Regional Manager as required for siteAdherence to existing Master Service Agreements, labour law, OHS regulations and mining regulationsQualifications / Requirements:2+ years of mining &/or industrial construction experienceBachelors degree in mining engineering or related field. Combination of post-secondary and experience may be consideredKnowledge of general underground mining operations/processesKnowledge of construction involving mines, concrete, structural steel, hoisting devices, pumps, and fansStrong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, MS Project or Primavera P6General familiarity with ERP, AutoCAD, MS Power Point an assetRegistered, or eligible to register as an Engineer with Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Saskatchewan is an assetResidents of Saskatchewan and candidates identifying as indigenous are encouraged to apply.A Criminal Record Check is required for this position.What we offer: As a valued member of the Procon team, you can look forward to a comprehensive compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
