Here is an exciting opportunity to join a LNG company as Deputy Project Director - Onshore in gorgeous Squamish, BC! The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of talented professionals in a position that boasts longevity, and good-natured work.In this role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for managing key areas of the project post-FID through handover to operations, an estimated length of 5 – 6 years. The position will also require the successful individual to manage all aspects of project execution in Canada on site, including, but not limited to HSSE, Project Services, Subcontracts, Interface Management, Site Construction, Pipeline Oversight and Commissioning Support.Job Duties:Oversee the entire EPC project lifecycle, ensuring excellence in Safety, Engineering, Quality, Project Controls, and more.Ensure adherence to EPC Contract stipulations and company’s internal legal frameworks.Monitor and enhance the performance of the EPC Contractor, including all subcontractors and vendors.Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including equity partners and internal departments like Operations and Community Relations.Take charge of the Owner’s direct responsibilities, including the management of marine facilities and external substations.Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.Over 20 years of experience in leading roles for major capital projects within the oil and gas sector.Experience in directly managing large-scale projects with budgets over $1 billion, executed by top-tier EPC contractors.A minimum of 10 years in a leadership position, managing diverse, multicultural teams across international locations.Familiarity with a range of contracting methods, including lump-sum turnkey, reimbursable, and unit rate contracts.PLEASE NOTE: Only those eligible to work in Canada will be considered for this position and only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
