Job Description

** Salary range of $150,000-$170,000plus applicable bonuses, allowances and dependent on experience **

The Project Director, directly and through their team of project managers, is responsible for the execution of Chandos’ construction services for their assigned projects. The Project Director builds the business through their support of Business Development. They develop, lead, coach and mentor multiple project teams. The Project Director is responsible for the overall coordination and performance of the team in achieving the project’s design and construction performance objectives.

• Lead, coach, and mentor project teams to meet deliverables and develop team members.

• Provide direction, oversee team development, and conduct performance reviews.

• Foster open communication and collaboration, aligning with corporate strategy and vision.

• Determine project resources, guide bidding processes, and stay informed on market trends.

• Engage in business development, manage client relationships, and ensure satisfaction.

• Conduct stakeholder meetings, liaise with project stakeholders, and ensure contract compliance.

• Ensure adherence to project management systems and safety protocols.

• Oversee project execution, including risk analysis, milestone achievement, and close-out.

• Track project progress, manage budgets, and monitor third-party activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent construction experience.
  • PQS designation, trade certification, or a business degree considered an asset.
  • Gold Seal Certification (GSC) required.
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Ten or more years of direct work experience in construction project management.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, legislation and building codes.
