Job Description
The Project Coordinator is responsible to organize, administer and control project activities, under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will support and collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in overseeing and managing their assigned projects.
- Implement all Chandos project management systems, including health and safety protocols.
- Aid in tendering and contract preparation.
- Coordinate project documentation and reporting.
- Manage project administration and logistics, including equipment tracking and permit processes.
- Support project team with labor, equipment, and material usage.
- Oversee change orders and ensure client approval.
- Maintain safety standards and conduct inspections.
- Review construction plans for compliance.
- Ensure quality workmanship and assemble project documentation.
- Resolve design issues and reinforce safety culture.
- Foster open communication and collaboration within teams.
Qualifications
- Up to 7 years of commercial and industrial construction experience.
- Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience.
- Construction / Engineering degree is preferred.
- One or more years of experience as a Project Coordinator.
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
- First aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
- Ability to work in time-sensitive and high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Must be willing/able to travel to Fairview on occasion
