Job Description

Our client is a Canadian based manufacturer of electric propulsion and electric powertrain equipment with facilities in the US and Mexico. The company offers a range of electric motors and generators for clients in the railway, locomotive, wind energy, military, mining, oil and gas industries. They are a well established company and trusted partner with long standing clients in the Fortune 500 market around the world, and poised for significant growth over the next decade They are looking for a part time, Korean speaking Project Coordinator for a key contract to support critical infrastructure build (electric propulsion motors for rail vehicles) in time for the LA Olympics in 2028 Overview of Position: This role entails working remotely 5-10 hours per week through proposal phase and then 10-20 hours per week from project kick-off. You will be the customer interface / liaison between the US Manufacturer and South Korean customer. You will work with engineering, sourcing and program management teams to ensure exceptional two-way communication and project success. The Project Coordinator is required to be an independent self-starter and will monitor the critical path of the projects that s/he is assigned and report when conflicts or other delays occur. This requires a list of all activities required to complete the project the time; the dependencies between the activities; the resources assigned to the activities; and logical end points such as milestones or deliverable items. The Project Coordinator will suggest and implement contingency plans for ensuring that the project remains on track or continues to progress within revised timeframes. Preferred Qualifications: Must have related experience in Project Coordination Must be fluent in English and Korean Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field, and 2- 3 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator or similar position (Project Analyst, Project Administrator) or other qualifying related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or, at a minimum, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) General knowledge of Project Management principles and methodology, especially those considered best practices under the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Experience with document management solutions like MS SharePoint Other Qualifications: Ability to: gather, analyze, and organize data, define problems and requirements, and recommend solutions Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment. Experience with Microsoft Project, Dynamics and similar project management tools, and Microsoft Office Experience with solution development and delivery lifecycle Strong problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
