Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Project Accountant to oversee the financial management of projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of project accounts, providing accurate and timely financial reports, and supporting project managers in budgeting and financial planning.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare, review, and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, identifying variances and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop financial plans and strategies for new and ongoing projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, billing, and collection processes.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations of project accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide financial guidance and support to project teams, assisting with financial decision-making and risk management.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
