ABOUT THE JOB:

The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

Our team takes the lead on regulatory reporting, handling everything from development to operation and support for these applications. We're all about agility and DevOps, and we thrive on collaborating closely with stakeholders and our neighboring teams. Right now, we're driving the charge towards adopting big data and public cloud technologies.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

The responsibilities of the software developer include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and platforms within our team's scope
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, continuous improvement, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Support, operate, and resolve production incidents while communicating project updates
  • Contribute to QA, UAT testing, and Change/Release Management processes
  • Conduct data analysis for user needs and improvement purposes
Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 4+ years of DevOps software development experience
  • Proficiency in batch data processing/ETL, CI/CD, and a degree in computer science or related field
  • Strong Java expertise with a focus on API development and performance
  • Hands-on experience with Springboot, microservices, REST API, Spring, Hibernate, and relational databases
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker, Git/GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Languages:French and English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
