THE ROLE AND IMPACT: Reporting to the Director, Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships the National Signature Events team, this role is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the non -profit sector, including database management, fundraising reporting, and event sponsorship. This role will support diverse portfolios within the Development (revenue and fundraising) team, and work in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team. RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH: The Program Coordinator, Fundraising and Events will work as part of the Development Team, which raises vital funds to directly support the work of CF Canada. The Development Team’s objectives are to drive revenue and build capacity in Signature events, corporate partnerships and major gift donors. The Program Coordinator, Fundraising and Events will develop unique experiences relevant to their post-secondary program studies. Primary duties and responsibilities include: Reporting and Analysis Build reports and provides analysis of Signature event participant and fundraising data Assist with database entry (Raiser’s Edge) and reporting (database training provided) Collaborate with marketing and communications team and events team on Impact Reporting at completion of Signature events Event Stewardship and Partner Relations Support a portfolio of national corporate partners with stewardship and sponsorship fulfillment activities Attend CF Canada events as required to support stewardship of sponsors and participants (vehicle is not required) Assist with donor and prospect research to support a healthy prospect list of Donor Advised Funds and Community Foundations Assist in the stewardship and recognition activities for leadership and planned giving donors. Currently studying business, events management, project management or a related field in a post secondary program with minimum 2 years of study completed Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (French language skills an asset). Experience with creation of supporting content and materials. Love taking initiative, are resourceful and highly organized. Familiar with Raiser’s Edge and/or the willingness to learn a new CRM software. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative suite. Access to high-speed internet (a laptop or workstation will be provided for the internship period). Self-starter, resourceful, initiative-taker. Excellent organization and time management skills.
