Job Description

Position: Professor, Cardiovascular Perfusion (2 positions available)

Status: Contract Part-Time

Site: The Michener Institute

Salary: Competitive salary offered based on qualifications and experience, employment status, and experience

Hours: Part-Time Hours, Monday to Friday

Delivery: Onsite at the Michener Simulation Lab, with some online teaching

The Michener Institute of Education at UHN is Canada’s only post-secondary institution devoted exclusively to the applied health sciences professions.

We are actively seeking to hire Professors for one of our flagship programs, Cardiovascular Perfusion. The CVP program is the largest and only Masters level program in Canada, training cardiovascular perfusionists to work in health care settings across Ontario. The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to teach in the CVP Program.

Qualifications

  • Perfusionist with a minimum of three years of demonstrated clinical experience is preferred
  • Certified by the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP) or American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP)
  • Masters level education in a discipline-relevant field is preferred
  • Certification by and/or membership in relevant professional association(s)
  • Previous teaching experience is considered an asset
