HGMH provides acute care, complex continuing care, 24-hour emergency services, and rehabilitation to over 23,000 residents every year. Our team includes over 150 staff members, 50 Medical Staff members and 100 volunteers who all take pride in bringing quality health care to our local Eastern Ontario community.POSITION PURPOSE Facilitate the processes to support excellence in patient-centered practice based on relevant best practices, professional standards of practice and legislative requirements. Responsible for the leadership and coordination of professional practice projects, programs and initiatives including clinical policies and procedures, integrated care pathways, regulatory requirements for competent and safe practice, patient focused care, mentorship, clinical placements, and health work environment initiatives which align with HGMHs vision, mission and values. Oversee the Infection Prevention and Control functions of the hospital.KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario;Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Education;Several years progressive leadership experience in hospital and/or health care industry with a focus on clinical education, professional practice and clinical technology;Strong computer/technology skills with extensive experience working with Meditech preferred;Knowledge of applicable legislation, college regulations, standards and scope of practice;Demonstrated understanding and experience in Infection Prevention and Control practices.Proven project management skills, experience with supporting the development and implementation of clinical technologies (e.g. documentation systems, equipment, etc.) and associated work flow processes with a demonstrated impact on staff satisfaction and patient safety;Evidence of lifelong learning & professional development, with a passion for driving and supporting others to achieve;Comprehensive working knowledge of policy development, standards of care, professional standards, best practice, evidence-informed decision making, legislative requirements, safety regulations and quality improvement tools, etc.;Demonstrated ability to support, inspire, coach and manage staff through change, with experience in managing conflict, achieving buy-in and collaborating for successful outcomes;Creative, innovative, and flexible; demonstrated ethical practice; excellent critical thinking and decision making instincts with a “systems view” to problem-solving;Self-starter, work independently, meet timelines, work within and lead a team, chair committees or participate as an active member; strong organizational skills to support the effective prioritization and management of multiple priorities.Keywords : Alexandria jobsClosed Date : 2024-07-26
