Job Description

Our client is a division of multinational manufacturer of equipment and machinery for the food service industry. They are currently searching for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. In this role the Production Supervisor will supervise and lead the daily activities of the workforce using internal company goals and objectives as the benchmark: Safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency. You will be supervising Shipping and Receiving activities as well as assembly lines. Manager of Manufacturing on production planning, budgeting, and key performance indicators. Oversees production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results. Meets production requirements and delivery schedules by monitoring personnel, and resources, expediting work results, fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Supervises manufacturing team by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains staff by assisting Human Resources with recruiting, selecting, orientation and training employees. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing regulatory and organizational standards and procedures, including educating and directing personnel on established policies and procedures. Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards. Provides manufacturing information to company management team by compiling and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests. Will consider 8 years Manufacturing Supervision experience in lieu of education. Must have Supervisory experience in Shipping/Receiving. Knowledge of Assembly line would be an asset. Experience in coaching, process improvement, quality management, safety management, tracking budget expenses, and production metrics. Ability to read/interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and contract specifications. Must be able to work flexible hours and OT.
