Job Description
We are working with a well-known manufacturerand they are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Production Supervisor who will be responsible for leading a team of operators that will transform raw materials into finished rare earthingotsina pilotmanufacturing facilityin Canada. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Supervisor with experience in leading a team of2-3operators in a 24/7 industrial operation. The role is a 4-6 month contract working day and night shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Schedule and manage work of manufacturing operators to ensure on time completion of each step of the operation
- Monitor manufacturing processes to assure product yields and quality standards are met
- Partner with Production Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to identify improvementopportunities, investigate process deviations, and implement robust corrective actions
- Develop and maintain production procedures and instructions, and ensure they are followed by all employees
- Promote and provide a safe and healthy work environment
- Ensure adherence to all environmental, health and safety regulations, standards, and policies
- Other tasks as required
BASICQUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience managing and training operators
- Experience in Quality Systems ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949
- Hands-on approach to identifying and solving problems
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Computer literacy
