We are committed to enabling safe and secure reuse of electronics, responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills, and recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing the warehouse and production day-today activities and performance of production staff. The Production Supervisor also assumes accountability for ensuring orders are filled and inventory is appropriately stocked, along with standard responsibilities associated with managing employees in a proactive and professional manner. In the absence of the Operations Manager the Production Supervisor(s) will assume the responsibility for their assigned area of the Operations Manager job function.Key Responsibilities:Continually strive to improve processes and systems to improve efficiencies and competitiveness Maintain quality standards and a clean work environment free from safety hazardsEnsure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedulesReviews work orders, product specifications, and technical instructions to determine facility requirements, and requisitions tools, equipment and supplies to meet production goals and customer requirementsAnalyse requirements, prepares production schedule, and distributes work assignments according to order priorities and worker abilitiesCoordinate duties associated with inventory management (e.g. month end cut-off, labelling, cycle counts, physical counts, reconciliation, evaluations, etc.)Ensure that inventory levels are properly managed and customer orders are filled in a timely fashionAssists in supporting the company to drive continuous improvement to reduce manufacturing expense.Direct and schedule the activities of staff to achieve business needs. Manage employees including participating in recruitment and progressive discipline activities, conducting performance evaluations, ensure adequate training, skills and abilities are demonstrated regularly and consistently, and initiating actions for improvement when deficiencies are identified Hold department meetings and ensuring strong morale is maintained by leading by example when conducting all work tasks, particularly regarding demonstrating exemplary communication skills and professionalism always Develops and/or enforces corporate policies regarding work and quality procedures, security and safety to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentThree (3) – (Five) 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experienceForklift License Lock Out / Tag Out TrainingConsiderable working knowledge of Microsoft office programsOutstanding leadership, strong decision making, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills Demonstrated familiarity with health, safety, and environmental and employment legislation requiredWe offer: Company paid Extended Health & Dental BenefitsDisability & Life InsuranceCompany RRSP matched up to 4%Employee Assistance ProgramEducation Reimbursement ProgramSafety Shoes & glasses reimbursementEmployee Purchase Program (up to 22% off on Qnovum.ca)Quantum is an equal opportunity employer.
