  • Production Supervisor – Food Service -Fresh Meals -SOPs / Best Practices (Industrial Kettles)
  • Manual Food Assembly GMP Processes
  • Salary: 80K-90K, benefits ; full time permanent
  • Location: Toronto – Vaughan – Richmond Hill, ON area
  • Shift: Day Shift Monday-Friday approx. 5am start; 8.5 hour shifts some flexibility required to cover other shifts
  • Supervise Industrial Kitchen

Our client is a well-established organisation in the food service / fresh meals / industrial kitchen set-up. They have a job opening for a Production Supervisor- Food Service – Catering – Daily Fresh Cook Meals to oversee line production and packaging of this fresh food, ready to eat meals in the Toronto – Vaughan – Richmond Hill, ON area. This is a straight shift schedule, Monday-Friday with a approx. 5am start; 8.5 hour shifts. Some flexibility is required to cover night shift occasionally.


Production Supervisor – Food Service- Fresh Cook Meals will be responsible for providing effective leadership to front-line operators, line cooks , chefs responsible for the cooking and packaging processes. You will oversee Production Planning, work with inventory and raw materials to ensure correct quantities and labor is available to all the lines. You will lead continuous Improvement projects to improve line balancing, improved productivity and labor utilization, create SOPs and Best Practices, train the front line on new established processes and be the Change Agent of this fairly manual cooking packaging lines. You will lead Team leads, coach mentor the front-line operations and improve the internal processes between Materials, Shipping, Receiving, Quality and Sanitation. This is a continuous improvement role, and the successful candidate must have experience in setting up SOPs, Best Practices, KPIs and measures to improve existing processes, employee engagement towards Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety and compliance.


Production Supervisor – – Food Service- Fresh Cook Meals will have 7-8 years’ experience as Supervisor ideally from Food service / ready to eat fresh meals, catering, industrial kitchen and similar within Food GMP, HACCP (MUST have); advanced Excel skills; Hands- on Floor experience in cross functional roles in the food industry is highly preferred bachelor’s degree/ Continuous Improvement courses are good to have. Established experience of leading teams, coaching mentoring, performance management, leadership, improving efficiencies, engagement writing / revising SOPs, Best Practices within the Food is a MUST; excellent English communication skills and ability to work with diverse work force in a fairly manual assembly process.
