About your next Challenge as a Production Lines Supervisor / 4 Wing Fleet Planner :

Answer directly to and under the supervision of the Manager Operation Management in Cold Lake. The Production Lines Supervisor / Wing Fleet Planner will be responsible to ensure proper fleet management and induction of non-available aircraft to different maintenance activities including, but not limited to, Periodic Inspections, SUPP 2 and SUPP 4 Inspections and any special projects as directed by the Manager Operation Management.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervised two production lines in the performance of Periodic Inspections, SUPP 2 or 4 Inspections or any other project assigned ensuring effective management of risk and impacts to meet the direct schedules.He is to provide daily and weekly report to the Site lead.
  • With the support of a Wing Maintenance Scheduler, develop and establish a workable Wing Fleet Plan to be approved by the Manager Operations Management and the CF188 Fleet Manager
  • Coordinate the delivery and maintain the number of available aircraft at 4 Wing Cold Lake and each units.
  • Prepare and monitor MRLs (Maintenance Repair List) 5-6 weeks prior to Periodic induction. Work with the unit of ownership to coordinate pre-induction maintenance to ensuring clear understanding of the LOE and the release of an approved MRLs NLT 4 weeks prior to the Periodic induction.
  • In Cooperation with the Manager Operations Management, coordinate maintenance Tasks and monitor non-available aircraft in storage (short and medium term) and ensure preservation inspections are carried out as per regulations
  • Support the CF-Hornet Extension Project Lines, Special Project Lines and squadrons as directed by the Manager Operations Management
  • Plan aircraft re-activation in order to meet MOB/Fleet requirements
  • Prepare and monitor any other MRL requirement activities requested by Site lead
  • Coordinate with Fleet Manager / DND AMCRO’s Third Line induction via QTOs
  • Coordinate with Fleet Manager / DND AMCRO’s transfer between MOBs via QTOs
  • As directed by the Manager Operations Management, support the planning and scheduling of disposal requirements.
  • Coordinate with Material Management, Arcfield and 1 AMS to ensure components requirements in support of the Production Lines are met to ensure compliance with the planned production schedule. a daily schedule on all maintenance activities carried out at MOBs;
  • Provide reports as required Manager Operations Management and the Fleet Manager
  • Monitor flying activities within the Squadrons; Aircraft Push & Hold, FLEI reports, Supplementary Inspection embodiment by Squadron, major snags rectification and advice Fleet Manager / Engineering and Programs if any of these activities impact Fleet Planning metrics.
  • The MOB Scheduler will act as eyes on site fin order to monitor Fleet Management Plan.
  • Ensures QA and EHS programs are followed diligently within his/her organisation
  • Encourage and champion Continuous Improvement principles and projects within his/her organisation
  • Complete projects and tasks as directed by the Manager Operations Management

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • College or undergraduate degree in a relevant field of expertise such as engineering, operations management or aeronautics; or equivalent experience;
  • Five (5) years of experience in management of production and operations in aeronautics and pre-flight operations;
  • Experience supervising teams (unionized employees, an asset);
  • Knowledge of SAP; • Knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
  • Bilingualism (English and French) both orally and in writing (asset)
  • Be customer service and results oriented and have an operational focus based on meeting schedules while adopting an approach that integrates with the company's values organization;
  • Knowledge of different problem solving methods (8D for example) (an asset);
  • Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement (concepts, methodology);
  • Knowledge and experience in project management;
  • Knowledge of laws and policies related to the environment, health and safety at work;
  • Ease of adaptation, interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills;
  • Experience in quality control or relevant experience in this field;
  • Sense of planning, work organization and priority management;
  • In-depth knowledge of laws and policies related to airworthiness and the L3HARRIS Quality system;
  • Solid skills in teamwork, in collaboration, in adaptability and operational flexibility in meeting objectives, in communication and interpersonal skills.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  • For on-site positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required.
