(“i3”) is a subsidiary of i3 Energy plc (https://i3.energy), a UK company trading on both the UK AIM Market (symbol I3E) and TSX Exchange (symbol ITE). i3 Energy Canada Ltd. has its head office located in Calgary, Alberta and has oil and gas assets located in BC and Alberta.Growth oriented i3 Energy Canada Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to fulfill the responsibilities of a Production Engineer/Engineering Technologist reporting to the Production Manager.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Stewardship of i3’s priority on Health, Safety and Environment by Actively participating in and promote HSE initiatives.Work with Field Operations to monitor and meet production targets while optimizing production and maximizing value within operating budgets.Monitor, evaluate and optimize well production by making recommendations for optimization/completion/work over candidates to maximize the company’s oil and natural gas production.Stewardship of cost saving initiatives to reduce operating costs.Support the new drills program through the artificial lift recommendation/design while collaborating with the facility engineering on the pipeline and facility design.Working with operations and facility engineering to identify and evaluate infrastructure debottlenecking and consolidation opportunities.Liaise with Production Accounting, Financial Accounting, Marketing and Joint Ventures as required.Other requirements:Travel to the field to interact with Operations as required.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7+ years of industry experience. Field experience is a bonus.Post-secondary education or combination of relevant experience and education.In-depth understanding of artificial lift systems (rod pump, plungers, ESP and gas lift preferred)Understanding of facility process (compression, dehydration and refrigeration units).Knowledge of Alberta and BC directives.Demonstrates organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload.Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and oral skills and attention to detailExperience with MS Office products, particularly Excel.Working knowledge of data analytics with a focus on Power BI is a bonus.Class 5 driver’s license or equivalentTo Apply: Please send a cover letter, and resume to recruitmentca@i3.energy– Subject: Production Engineer /Engineering Technologisti3 Energy Canada Ltd. thanks all candidates for their interest.
