SUMMARY OF POSITION The Product Specialist is responsible for supporting sales and product support activities for KARL STORZ Video Imaging. The successful candidate will be able to elevate company standards, achieve sales goals and meet our customer’s expectations.RESPONSIBILITIES Support Account Executives to aid in the promotion, sale and customer education of KARL STORZ Video Imaging products and solutions. Provide technical and clinical product support to the sales team and our customers and assist with training and education events and activities. Attend key strategic meetings, conventions, courses & labs as required.Build productive relationships with physicians, nursing, biomedical engineers and other key individuals at customer accounts.Launch of new technology platform.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through assessing customers’ needs, providing assistance and information on products and solutions and delivering excellent sales service.Go the extra mile to drive territory and overall commercial performance – strive to exceed monthly and annual targets and goals. Attend and successfully complete all education program to develop and exhibit a high degree of knowledge regarding KARL STORZ product lines, key selling features and competitive advantages.Work with Account Executives and OR1 team in the promotion and sale of our OR Integration product portfolio.Act as a spokesperson for KARL STORZ, ensuring that our core values are being upheld at all times.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Proven customer relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times whether dealing with customers at all levels of an organization or fellow co-workers. Team player possessing strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate, share knowledge to benefit others and solve problems positively in a highly competitive environment. Experience with Hospital IT Infrastructure and Surgical Video Imaging technology.Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Keen interest in the medical field and technology. Very proficient with video imaging technology and modalities as it pertains to the surgical environment.Highly self-motivated, reliable, hardworking and driven. Ability to work in fast paced environment to achieve goals while under time constraints.Ability to travel domestically as well as internationally – 50%+ travel required.QUALIFICATIONS Completion of a university undergraduate degree, preferably in Engineering or Biomedical Technology.3+ years of customer service or direct sales experience.Good knowledge of video imaging technologies - Endoscopy.Interest or good understanding of the use of Florescence Image, Guided Surgery and the impact of Contrast agents.Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.Written and verbal French, an asset.Experience in Hospital Surgical Environment.
