ABB Smart Buildings digitally transforms commercial, industrial and residential buildings for the highest comfort, efficiency, safety and security - enhancing quality of life in buildings of the future through safe, smart and sustainable electrification solutions, services and products.Summary: Act as a lead product manufacturing engineer to implement the R&D design solutions for local manufacturing, including BOM and drawings, procedures for manufacturing, fabrication and construction and assignments classified as low to medium complexity by applying standard design tools and concepts. Your responsibilitiesImplement R&D engineering solutions and design changes in manufacturing. Evaluate engineering modification impact in production. Communicate engineering modifications with production stockholders to take appropriate actions in materials planning. Provide engineering support to production to resolve all engineering inquiries, collect, and analyse production and control quality feedback, perform incremental product improvements to increase production efficiency. Address technical queries and respond to project delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution and the customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the supply chain and vendor functions to meet the contractual requirements. Your backgroundBachelor's degree or college diploma in electromechanical or mechanical engineering. 3 to 5 years’ experience in electro-mechanical engineering and manufacturing of distribution equipment as switchboards, panelboard, and industrial control equipment. Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Creo), PLM (Windchill) and ERP system (SAP preferable). Strong communication skills, bilingualism as asset (French and English). French is required. English would be an asset to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
