OVERVIEWIndustry’s leading accessories manufacturer is looking for an exceptionally creative product developer with a great sense of fashion, an individual with great attention to detail and ability to apply their design skills on product design creation and development for various accessories. THE OPPORTUNITYAs a collaborator in the Design Department, you will be responsible for creating elevated collections for our growing retail channels. You will design a full seasonal accessories collections at a price point that allows you to work with the best factories to ensure your design intent is realized. With your valuable contribution to this role, you will belong to a fun, creative, business goal oriented team. THE JOBfocused on trending – fashion and socialrunways along with trending sites and other trend vehicles to forecast seasonal trendssensitive, aware of latest social media fashion trendsto recognize and accurately interpret trends into designunderstating of Colour Theorycolour standards from trend forecasting into seasonal planningcolour cards and fabric colour swatchesthe transition of styles from design conception to production-ready sampleknowledge in product sourcing and product development from raw materials to finished product of fashion accessories – mainly soft goodsto create complex print ready artwork for printing using Illustrator and PhotoshopCreation and execution of detailed spec package to send to overseas factories which include material information, sketches, print artworkCommunicating with overseas factories at a regular basis to ensure proper development sample standards are methave an understanding of price relation to product development and designmanage and maintain costing filesfluid collections with a mix of various accessories for various national brands and private label brandscommunication and presentation skillswith China team to ensure all sourcing is within timelinethe status quo by constantly identifying areas for improvementto domestic and international for market research and trendingto work under tight timelines and group environmentRequired experiences:years experience in design and accessory constructionin Fashion Accessories or Home Goods is an asseteducation in Fashion Design or Graphic Designbe considered an expert in Illustrator and PhotoshopWorking Knowledge of Excelto work in a team oriented environmentto multi-taskand time management skills required
