Procurement Specialist – (6 Month Contract)Our client is a leader in the operations and maintenance space, and they are looking for a Contract Procurement Specialist to develop and implement key procurement framework processes for their organization. The successful candidate will be responsible to develop strategic sourcing initiatives, streamline procurement processes and develop and optimize stakeholder relationships to ensure successful acquisition of goods and services.Key Accountabilities Include: Develop and implement strategies, methodologies, tools and techniques for procurement management excellence, effectively managing vendor relationships, and continuous improvement.Develop and manage end-to-end bidding processes, prepare and issue RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.Evaluate bids, conduct cost analysis, ensure compliance with technical specifications.Effectively collaborate with internal departments to facilitate the delivery of solutions to meet priorities.Assist in the development and implementation of third-party supplier standards and operational procedures to ensure the successful delivery of operational initiatives.Analyze and provide recommendations on procurement strategies consisted with goals of the division.Identify, analyze and report on contract performance.Partner with key internal teams (i.e. Finance) to establish and maintain financial control systems and flow of information.Key Qualifications Include:Post secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or Supply Chain Management. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.At least 5 years of experience in a procurement/inventory management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and/contract management.SCMP designation is considered an asset.Demonstrated proficiency in developing systems for inventory and procurement management.Proficiency in Procure to Pay process implementation.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.We thank all applicants for their interest in the posted role.
