Opportunity As a Procurement Manager at Pomerleau, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of supply chain operations. Supporting our work on Major Projects – ranging from $500 million to multi-billion - your primary objective is to ensure that goods and materials are transported, stored and distributed efficiently to meet project needs through engaging various service and material providers in competitive tension to achieve cost-efficiency and budget success. What you will do: Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics and supply chain operations. This includes setting objectives and performance indicators; Engaging with project team to establish strategies towards procurement, market search, global opportunities, and timelines for procurement initiation meeting the obligations of the project deliverables; Develop scope of services for vendors and suppliers ensuring scope coverage compliance within project deliverables meeting client objectives; Schedule, monitor, track, and report to project team, the critical KPI’s that demonstrate procurement challenges that represent areas of focus for project team to manage; Manage the entire supply chain process, from inventory management to production planning and distribution; Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained, minimizing surpluses or shortages; Identify savings opportunities in logistics and supply chain operations and implement cost-effective strategies; Keep up to date with industry regulations, customs requirements and trade compliance standards to ensure that the organization's logistics activities are compliant; Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply to the site; Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; Continuously review and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and improve overall performance; Collaborate with other project departments; Manage service tenders; Manage the purchasing team; Draw up purchasing recommendations for equipment, including participating in the development of business case. This role could be for you if you have Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (B.A.A.) specialized in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; 8 years of experience in a similar position; Knowledge of the construction industry; Knowledge of contract terms and conditions; Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.); Autonomy, rigor and proactivity; Good communication and interpersonal skills.
