Our client is a leading supplier to multiple industries and is looking to add a Procurement Manager.( In-office AND requires 30% travel across Ontario )Negotiable based on experienceReporting into the Director of Strategic Sourcing, the Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the organization in the Procurement of goods and services managing multiple plants. You will be overseeing the multiple plants and ensuring the Buyers are meeting their deliverables. You will be travelling to the multiple sites on an ongoing basis. As the Procurement Manager you will be working closely with the operations and supply chain team. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with local and global suppliers and identifying opportunities of cost savings. There will be 5 direct reports in this position, therefore you must have experience leading a team.The ideal candidate must have 7+ years of purchasing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You must have strong leadership skills and experience managing people. You must have experience working in a high paced manufacturing environment and managing multiple sites. You must be a leader with the confidence, high attention to detail and the proven ability to lead the Procurement function.
