You have completed a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 6 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:

  • Knowledge of Procurement Engineering processes and procedures. Knowledge of Nuclear Industry Codes and Standards an asset.
  • Experience/Ability to read, interpret and apply material technical specifications.
  • Experience/Ability to perform Item Equivalency Evaluations (IEE) for substitute parts.
  • Experience/Ability to perform Procurement Evaluations to establish Purchase Order Technical and Quality requirements.
  • Experience/Ability to perform Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) of Safety Related items.

Your Opportunity

Thisfull-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Engineer in Pickering or Kincardine, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Review of Request for Proposal (RFP), including Technical Specifications, for replacement materials to be purchased for Nuclear Utilities with intent to verify specifications are sufficiently detailed to send out for quotation
  • Review of Supplier Quotations to verify compliance with RFP Technical Specifications, and/or compile exception list
  • Identification of Technical and Quality Purchase Requirements for purchase orders to procure replacement parts
  • Performance of Item Equivalency Evaluations for alternate replacement materials when specified material no longer available.
