Job Description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:  This position will provide engineering support to the manufacturing group and continuous improvement initiatives. Major Duties and Responsibilities Provide active role in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve quality, reduce cost and/or improve cycle time and productivity. Identify and address safety, efficiency, and quality improvement opportunities in conjunction with manufacturing personnel. Modify and manage existing equipment and processes to meet customer requirements, product and production requirements. Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology in continuous improvement activities. Ability to generate ad hoc reports. Support manufacturing lines to reduce scrap and improve efficiency to meet plant goals. Comply with requirements and assist in maintenance of the necessary quality standards (IATF16949/ISO14001). Ensure a safe work environment exists for all employees. Understand and follow all EHS policies. Stop work activities that create EHS hazards. Minimum Qualifications Engineering diploma or degree with min 3 years of engineering related experience in automotive manufacturing environment Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing familiarity preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills Good understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes (tube forming, welding, bending, assembling)
