The Digital Workplace Services Principal Solution Architect/Engineer will work in partnership with the corresponding collaboration service tower owners to complete strategy and architecture development, solutions engineering, systems delivery, and senior technical support for all in scope collaboration related services.Activities to include work associated with both projects and service management of new and existing services.The Digital Workplace Services Principal Solution Architect/Engineer will also work closely with staff from other infrastructure service areas that provide supporting services in the design, delivery, management of our collaboration suite of products.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining solution architectures and roadmaps to harmonize the service towers within the collaboration suite into a consolidated and coordinated strategy.
  • Partners with service owner leads to develop delivery plans in support of the collaboration strategy.
  • Designs future state reference architectures that will provide a template for teams to achieve security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Responsible for overall governance and global technical administration of our collaboration suite.
  • Ensures our collaboration solutions are managed and maintained in alignment with all associated technical and security standards.
  • Conducts research and provide recommendations on the standards and configurations of the existing collaboration environment.
  • Provides expert level advice and consultancy in the develop of collaboration related business cases and technologies.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to management that inform them of issues and opportunities with our collaboration solutions.
  • Provides high-level analysis and reporting on application health within the application portfolio.
  • Provides expert level support for deployed solutions and interfacing with support staff when necessary to assist in resolution of escalated complex technical issues within defined SLAs.
  • Provides input for and reviews of test plans and test scripts for coverage and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science or similar technology related area
  • Expert level expertise in all the Microsoft365 foundational services (e.g. Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).Experience across additional Microsoft365 services areas preferred.
  • Significant experience with both Project Management and Service Management disciplines while working within a large organization.
  • Experience working in a matrix support model in the delivery of collaboration services to end users.
  • Experience with Cisco-based hardware and software collaboration solution preferred.
  • Experience with Intune / Mobile Device Management preferred.
