Our Client, Ryan, is seeking a Principal for their Montreal-based Sales tax Practice, who will play a pivotal role as part of the overall Canadian sales tax leadership team.
- Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in sales tax consulting, ideally in public accounting / tax consulting firm
- Hold a recognized accounting designation (CPA).
- Strong knowledge of Goods and Services Tax, Quebec Sales Tax, and Provincial Retail Sales Tax legislation and policies.
- Experience with managing and disputing audits performed by Canadian tax authorities, seeking for and obtaining rulings, and submitting voluntary disclosure to tax authorities.
- Experienced with tax research and preparation of tax memorandum.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at simplifying complex tax concepts for clients and colleagues.
