Theselected candidate will play a key role in all phases of engineering projectsfrom front end-studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailedengineering. As a senior member of the mechanical engineering team, thecandidate will be responsible for ensuring technical quality, developing newbusiness opportunities, and fostering team development.With us, you’ll get theopportunity to:Perform high level engineering on majormechanical packages such as: crushing and grinding circuits, flotationcircuits, leaching circuits, dewatering, heavymachinery, conveyors, and pump systems. Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets, and proposals. Ensure that work complies with budgets, schedules, estimates andestablished procedures. Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibilitystudies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering. Supervise or carry out design calculations and ensure that plansmeet guidelines as well as legal and regulatory requirements. Assign and review the work of junior engineers(engineers-in-training), technicians and drafters assigned to projects andassess technical scope. Establish and maintain relationships with clients to define theirneeds. Present technical information, concepts or study results. Verify and produce files for tenders, specifications and othertechnical documents. Occasionally supervise contractors on site. Be a key team member for small to major brownfield/greenfieldmining projects Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments,commissioning, and testing. Provide mentorship and coaching of junior/intermediate engineers,actively sharing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skillswithin the team Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high qualityprofessional deliverables. Do your qualities and valuesmatch our corporate culture?Strong commitment to health and safety Ability to see beyond established standards Ability to share and pass on knowledge Rigour and ethical Thirst to learn and excel Overview of certifications andjob requirements:Proven track record with strong technical skills as a MechanicalEngineer on mineral process plant projects Experience in base and precious metals: asset Ability to interpret PFD’s and process design criteria from processengineering, oversee plant layouts, mechanical equipment selection,technical bid evaluation and validation and pump sizing University degree in Mechanical Engineering 20+ years of relevant engineering experience in the mining sectorwith a preference for recent 10+ years in consulting Must be a registered P.Eng in Ontario, Canada Valid driver’s license Available for site work (3-10 days at a time) Site experience considered a strong asset An overview of BBA’s totalreward: Annual base salary, based on 40 hours weekly Annual bonus program for all regular employees Access to a time bank Cellphone Program Group insurance plan starting day one including short term andlong-term disability insurance Pension Plan Vacation and sick leave Premium offer through the Employee Referral Program.
