The role of Principal Consultant - Delivery & Implementation will be responsible for providing subject matter expert and domain support to our project delivery teams, to ensure successful solution design, implementation, entry into Service and handover for our CallTouch Overground and Underground Rail and Emergency Services based Call Centre and Cortex Control Room solutions.

As a key member of the team, you will as a minimum be required to:

  • Excel in the use of the MS Office suite of products with particular focus on Word, Visio and Excel
  • Be responsible for the production of all CallTouch Design including complete Detailed Design, updating the Site System Manual, and production of High-Level Designs to support CallTouch sales and bid activity
  • Provide technical support to Project Managers and Consultants and act as a point of technical escalation.
  • When necessary, lead and/or support technical hands-on project delivery work including server rack commissioning, Windows server/client installation and hardening, software installation/configuration and troubleshooting
  • Lead engagement with all internal and external stakeholders to help maintain project progress and resolve queries/issues.
  • Become familiar with CDM 2015 requirements in relation to CallTouch delivery as part of larger Rail infrastructure projects.
  • Play a lead role in ensuring appropriate accreditations and compliances of our product(s) -CallTouch is subject to RISQS certification and Network Rail Product Acceptance
  • Support the Sales, Business Development and Product Roadmap processes with technical guidance and solutioning advice.
  • Assist with the design/scoping and costing of project change control notes

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced consultant to complement our growing and engaged team. Your aligned technical experience will be complemented by high level organisational, communication and interpersonal skills that will facilitate positive business outcomes for all internal and external stakeholders. Aligned qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telephony, Cisco Networks or another related field would be highly beneficial, as would previous experience of delivering technical solutions within the UK rail or Emergency Services sectors, and exposure to ICCS solution software.

Core essential Skills will include, but not be limited to:

  • Technical software integration to one or more of Mitel, Avaya, Cisco telephony platforms
  • TETRA radio solutions
  • Solution delivery into either mission critical or safety critical control room environments
  • Low level design experience of multi-server resilient solutions onto corporate infrastructure
  • Design and System Manual production
  • Be the key Zetron technical interface to our expert telephony partner
  • Experience of delivering and/or supporting software solutions within operational UK Rail is very desirable

Demonstrable experience/qualifications in several of the following:

  • A background in the installation of software and hardware communications solutions
  • Networking, router configuration
  • Windows server, Active Directory
  • Cloud technologies
  • Security, Firewalls & Penetration testing/remediation

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work in the UK and an ability to be able to achieve aligned security clearances and Non-Police Personnel Vetting checks.

In the context of rail project delivery this role is considered safety critical and will be subject to annual safety-related medical assessments.
